Opinion Matters was started by a group of business owners and professionals that know firsthand what an important role the internet plays in today’s businesses.
Like most business owners we all prided ourselves on great customer service but, learned firsthand what a negative effect even one less then favorable review could do to business. What made it even worse when someone would openly state that they had never eaten the food, bought the product or used the service and would give a bad rating based only on a hunch of what it would be like. And so we realized that what we needed was lots of good reviews from real customers and the journey began!
We thought this will be simple just contact some customers and have reviews written and then reality set in. This is a time consuming process! So we figured that we would use email and just contact all of our clients and ask them to go to the internet and rate us.
We found out about a scary truth in the moment, some dissatisfied customers never said anything to us but, given the suggestion to write a review online they were more than happy to voice their dissatisfaction to the world! We can attest to the statistic that if someone’s expectation wasn’t met they are twice as likely to write a review as those whose expectation was overly met. Unfortunately, what about all those clients that got exactly what they expected, the truth, most of them will not write anything. I know for some people your saying this is a simple problem to solve, better customer service, improve the product or?
The reality is, you can’t make everyone happy and the more employees you have, the more opportunity there is to find those that you can’t make happy!
Our solution was simple figure out a way that we could email clients but, we could stop unsatisfied ones before they got to the web. At least give us a chance to change their opinion.
Through the mother of necessity Opinions Matter was born! After a year of trial and error we developed a system that would allow us to email everyone and separate the good from the bad and still be compliant with all review sites policies! After using in-house for our own companies we decided that this was to good not to offer to other companies, but we wanted to do it in a way that wouldn’t offer any additional expense to the company.
Our solution, couple our proprietary rating system with a bulk email system. For clients that already understand the value of enhancing their marketing with email and are using a system currently we can replace your system and many times actually save you money, getting you both systems for less than many are just paying for a bulk emailer.
